The Engineer will serve as a key member of the First Aviation Services engineering team, supporting repair station operations and affiliated companies. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and technical aptitude with experience in aerospace engineering, reverse engineering, and FAA-related certification projects. This individual will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment, along with a strong desire for professional growth within the aviation industry. Responsibilities Reverse engineer aviation components to support repairs and manufacturing processes. Develop DER repairs and support PMA part certification projects in compliance with FAA regulations. Design and develop shop tooling, fixtures, and related equipment. Perform engineering analysis, technical evaluations, and prepare supporting documentation. Create technical reports, drawings, procedures, and other engineering documents. Manage multiple engineering projects while meeting schedules and operational deadlines. Collaborate with internal teams, external resources, and regulatory agencies to develop repair and product solutions. Support fabrication, testing, and implementation of tooling and repair solutions. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and customer requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering required. Two (2) years of related technical work experience preferred. Working knowledge and understanding of FAA regulations, including: 14 CFR Parts 27, 29, 43, 145 Experience with 3D CAD software required; SolidWorks experience preferred. Strong technical writing and engineering documentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, customers, and external resources. Ability to collaborate across multiple company disciplines and with outside technical partners. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Applicant must complete a background check and drug screen with results acceptable to management
