AOG Resources is seeking Avionics Technicians with 3+ years of commercial MRO experience to perform system troubleshooting, wire harness fabrication, and major avionics/IFC modification installs in Lake City, FL.
Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Avionics Technicians with 3+ years of commercial MRO experience to perform avionics installation, system troubleshooting, wire harness fabrication, and modification services in Lake City, FL. Operating within a high-volume heavy maintenance and repair station, you will install, test, repair, and modify complex avionics, navigation, communication, radar, and inflight entertainment (IFE) systems on commercial narrowbody and widebody transport aircraft in strict compliance with FAA standards.
Duties
Perform detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on avionics systems using schematics, technical drawings, and CAD software such as CATIA and AutoCAD.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify faults in electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring accurate diagnoses for efficient repairs.
Utilize specialized industrial tools, power tools, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, multimeters (ohmmeters), ammeters, and coordinate measuring machines to carry out precise maintenance tasks.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting guides to facilitate assembly, fabrication, and system integration.
Repair and maintain aircraft electrical systems in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and AS9100 standards for quality management.
Use precision measuring instruments to verify component dimensions and system tolerances during installation or repair processes.
Support aircraft maintenance activities on the flight line or within the aviation maintenance facility by performing heavy lifting and operating specialized industrial equipment safely.
Document all maintenance activities accurately within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure traceability and compliance.
Collaborate with engineering teams on aircraft airframe integration projects, ensuring mechanical knowledge is applied effectively during assembly or modifications.
Assist in equipment repair, calibration of testing instruments like ammeters or ohmmeters, and ensure all work adheres to safety standards for military or commercial aviation environments.

Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
3+ years of hands-on avionics installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance experience in a commercial MRO or heavy depot environment.
Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrated experience reading WDMs, terminating connectors, pinning plugs, performing system ring-outs, and using specialized avionics ramp test sets.
Tools:
Must possess a complete personal set of standard calibrated avionics/hand tools (crimpers, wire strippers, multimeter, pin extraction tools).
Preferred Qualifications:
Active FAA Airframe Certificate or A&P License
Prior experience on commercial transport platforms (e.g., Boeing 737/757/767, Airbus
A320/A330
series).
Experience with major avionics retrofits (e.g., Satcom, Starlink, ADS-B, TCAS, FMS upgrades, or glass cockpit installs).
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Work is performed inside active maintenance hangars and on outdoor flight ramps.
Physical capability to kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in tight spaces (cockpits, electronics bays, crown areas, and belly holds).
Comfort working at elevated heights on scaffolding, tail stands, and aerial lifts using fall protection harnesses.
Ability to routinely lift, position, or carry tools and modification equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
