TASK DESCRIPTION
The incumbent of this task will test, troubleshoot, and repair IFF and TACNAV systems at the I-Level of maintenance.
TASK REQUIREMENTS
Test, troubleshoot, and repair
F/A-18 IFF/TACNAV
systems WRAs and SRAs. Test, troubleshoot, and repair Support Equipment utilized on
F/A-18 IFF/TACNAV
systems. Provide OJT to KAF personnel on the operation of test equipment and system repair.
MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of four (4) years' experience repairing electronic equipment, with a minimum of two (2) years' experience repairing
IFF/TACNAV
systems. Graduate of an
IFF/TACNAV
operator/maintainer school is preferred however, four (4) years' experience in troubleshooting/maintenance of Avionics components in an intermediate or back-shop level will be considered. Thorough understanding of electrostatic discharge/damage procedures. Thorough understanding of stand-alone test equipment. Proficient in digital, analog, and radio frequency systems, to include schematic tracing and electronic safety. Proficient in the use of computers and associated software. A US Secret Security Clearance is required.
