Updated 08/2026 Job Description Job Summary STS Technical Services is hiring Licensed Avionics Technicians in Lafayette, Louisiana. STS Technical Services is seeking Licensed Avionics Technicians to support aircraft maintenance and modification operations in Lafayette, Louisiana. In this role, you will perform avionics installations, troubleshooting, system testing, and modification work in accordance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and manufacturer specifications. Job ResponsibilitiesInstallation / Modification Perform avionics and electrical installations, removals, and modifications on assigned aircraft Fabricate and assemble wiring, harnesses, panels, connectors, and related hardware using approved drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical data Read, interpret, and work from maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and manufacturer specifications Coordinate work activities with maintenance teams, sheet metal technicians, engineering, quality assurance, and vendors to support safe and efficient operations System Testing / Functional Checks Perform inspections, functional checks, operational checks, and system testing on installed avionics and electrical systems Verify correct installation, configuration, and system performance prior to return-to-service Use and maintain standard and specialized test equipment, instruments, gauges, meters, and tooling required for troubleshooting and verification Conduct continuity checks and functional checks during and after installation activities Document inspection results, discrepancies, and completed work in accordance with company procedures Troubleshooting / Repair Perform troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, and corrective actions on avionics, electrical, and instrument systems and components Determine component status including serviceable, unserviceable, and due-inspection conditions Route components to the appropriate repair, inspection, or service destination as required About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with some of the largest names in aerospace, manufacturing, defense, and industrial operations.
