Manage and mitigate critical Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issues affecting Weapons Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs) and Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRAs). Analyze failure data and component usage rates to forecast sustainment shortfalls and develop long-term supportability strategies.
System Design, Development, and Modernization:
Evaluate and develop Courses of Action (COAs) for system modernization. Analyze the feasibility, cost, schedule, and performance trade-offs of integrating alternative systems, and platform integration challenges. Provide engineering oversight for the development and integration of new capabilities to meet emerging legislative and operational requirements.
Certification Compliance:
Ensure systems comply with Department of Defense (DoD) AIMS Performance/Design and Qualification Requirements. Ensure systems comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification policies and procedures, including 14 CFR Part 91.225 and Part 91.227.
