Position Summary:
We are seeking a technical and instructional systems expert to support the Triton UAS Maintenance Training Program. This role is ideal for a veteran with a strong background in naval aviation organizational-level maintenance - specifically flight systems, fault isolation, and repair - who is looking to transition from hands-on maintenance to a professional office environment focused on curriculum development and training.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for aircraft flight-critical systems, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and engine propulsion systems.
- Execute course maintenance, content updates, and configuration control in accordance with Navy requirements.
- Integrate technical data, maintenance procedures, and engineering changes (ECP, TD, NATOPS updates, and IETM) into instructional products.
- Coordinate with program leadership, engineering, and fleet representatives to ensure training content reflects current system configuration and operational requirements.
- Support training system modernization and integration of modern instructional delivery methods.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of four years performing aircraft organizational-level maintenance.
Technical Proficiency:
Expert ability to interpret technical manuals, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), IETMs, and engineering change documentation.
Communication:
Strong writing skills to produce structured, standards-compliant documentation.
Professionalism:
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and interface effectively with government customers and cross-functional teams.
Software:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) or curriculum development within a DoD or naval aviation environment.
- Extensive background in Naval or Marine Corps aviation organizational-level maintenance (specifically AT).
- Prior experience as a U.S. military training instructor (805A / 9502 NEC or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design or media development.
Position Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
