Updated 08/2026 Job Description Job Summary STS Technical Services is hiring Avionics Technicians in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This role is perfect for skilled professionals with strong troubleshooting experience in avionics systems, electrical systems, and related aircraft technologies. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of aircraft while working in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft Communicate with department manager or crew chief on problems or repairs Ensure all work performed is inspected by an authorized repair station inspector Prepare documentation for record-keeping in compliance with company policies, FAA repair station and quality control manuals, FAA regulations, and OEM manufacturer manuals Learn, understand, and follow the company work order and parts requisition process Maintain a clean, neat, and efficient work area Repair and calibrate shop equipment as assigned Top Candidates Will Possess Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures, professional journals, or government regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedural manuals Excellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to work Other Requirements Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft avionics and airframe systems Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, and 145 Experience working with and repairing: Autopilots Flight Management Systems Navigation and Communication Systems EFIS Aircraft Electrical Systems Lighting Pitot and Static Systems Bench repair capabilities preferred A&P License or FCC License a plus About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with some of the largest names in the aerospace, manufacturing, defense, and industrial industries.
