AIRCRAFT ELECTRICIAN
(TITLE 32), WG-2892-11, you will perform functional tests, analyze performance and troubleshoot the electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumic and mechanical functions of the subsystems integred into the digital brake/antiskid system, maintenance annunciion panel (MAP) system of the integred main generor, standby generor, emergency generor, flight control power, AC/DC power distribution and sub-systems integred into the electronic/electrical and environmental systems; interpret analog and digital operional and output characteristics and results from the Maintenance Annunciion Panel (M.A.P.), onboard computers, aircrew debriefings and specialized test equipment; remove, repair, calibre, install, align, inspect, and conduct operional performance checkouts on the components of the electronic/electrical and environmental systems; analyze malfunctions using schemics, logic and wiring diagrams, computer da, and factory drawings; diagnose circuit opering characteristics using on-board computer, special test equipment and laptop computers; remove and replace components or assemblies down to the lowest level authorized by depot; perform organizional and intermedie level maintenance modificions; perform recurring inspections and system tests of the life support and the electronic/electrical and environmental system; modify and upde electrical and environmental support equipment; maintain and opere various types of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, diagnostic computers, digital and analog multi-meters, constant speed drive test stands, voltmeters, ammeters, etc.; perform precise and advanced wiring maintenance procedures on aircraft; utilize computer da and specialized test equipment to interpret equipment analog/digital operional characteristics; interpret electronic terms and symbols, and applies electronic formulas, tables and charts in order to perform fault isolion and repairs to systems and sub-systems; provide technical guidance, advice and/or assistance to other work centers on the interrelionship of electronic/electrical and environmental systems and their respective system; process and account for supply assets in the repairable processing system to maintain aircraft records, inspection records, and equipment maintenance in computer systems; document maintenance actions and man-hour expenditures on maintenance forms and computer systems; clear Red X symbols on maintenance forms and perform electronic/electrical and environmental system debriefing of aircrews; recommend methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures; process and account for due-in-from maintenance (DIFM) supply assets; document maintenance repair actions, man-hour accounting, maintenance forms, and computer systems; maintain historical da of repaired components, Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and test equipment; inspect, test and perform operive maintenance on cryogenic and gaseous oxygen and nitrogen servicing equipment; provide thorough inspection of the complete electronic/electrical and environmental, and other systems of the aircraft during special and phase inspections; provide on-the-job training to lower grade personnel concerning repair of the electronic/electrical and environmental equipment, aircraft system line replaceable units (LRUs), and aircraft electrical/environmental systems; provide on-the-job training (OJT) for newly assigned personnel; prepare for and participe in various types of readiness evaluions; perform additional duties such as aircraft crew chief, hydrazine response, aircraft or equipment decontaminion, structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operor, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or serve as a member of a team to assist local authorities with nural disasters or civil emergencies; comply with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulions; ensure th merial, equipment and components are properly stored, protected and maintained; perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements:
Experience or training which has provided a knowledge and skill in locing and tying in the electrical systems with the aircraft armament, electronics, and instrument systems; adjusting and calibring the components of the various electrical systems; reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schemics.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: (Must have 18 months) Experience or training installing, maintaining, repairing and modifying electrical systems and major substion components of electrical system. Experience diagnosing malfunctions and determining remedy when complex relionships exists among different electrical system circuits requiring knowledge of all electrical units and systems. Experience making electrical repairs th require the use of precision measuring equipment and common hand tools. Experience in the setup and operion of computerized multiple circuit analyzing equipment in manual, semiautomic, or automic mode to run existing and new (not fully debugged) diagnostic programs to test and analyze aircraft electrical circuitry and interconnecting cabling of systems such as navigional computers, radar, and reled equipment and to repair discrepancies.
