Posted 08/2026 Job Description Job Summary Aircraft Modification Technicians (Sheet Metal / Avionics) We are seeking experienced aviation maintenance professionals to support a special mission aircraft modification program in VA. This project supports advanced aircraft retrofit and systems integration work on King Air platforms and similar aircraft. Open positions include Sheet Metal Mechanics and Avionics Technicians with heavy modification experience. This is a short-term contract opportunity supporting cutting-edge ISR and avionics modernization programs. Compensation & Benefits
    Hourly Rate:
    $38.00/hour
      Contract Length:
      5-7 Months
        Per Diem:
        $68.00/day (7 days per week)
          Lodging & Travel:
          Covered and reimbursed with submitted receipts Start Date

            6/15 Work Scope This program involves retrofit, modification, and systems integration work commonly performed on King Air special mission aircraft, including:
            • ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) package installations
            • SATCOM and Link 16 installations
            • Mission rack and operator console installations
            • Antenna installations and modifications
            • Wire harness fabrication and routing
            • Avionics modernization upgrades
            • Autonomy and reduced-crew systems integration Key Responsibilities
            • Perform aircraft modification, retrofit, and integration work
            • Complete structural/mechanical modification tasks
            • Conduct avionics installations and avionics integration work
            • Fabricate, route, and install wire harnesses
            • Ensure all work complies with FAA, customer, and quality standards
            • Accurately document completed work and modifications Qualifications
            • Heavy modification experience required
            • Experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or Avionics Technician required
            • King Air experience strongly preferred, but any aircraft platform experience will be considered
            • Experience with wire harness fabrication, avionics integration, or aircraft retrofit work preferred
            • Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment
            • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality Additional Information
