You will support the planning, design, and construction of airfield and landside infrastructure projects within Parkhill's Aviation Sector. This role contributes to the development of critical airport facilities-including runways, taxiways, aprons, drainage systems, and support infrastructure-serving commercial and general aviation clients. Working alongside experienced aviation engineers and project managers, you will help deliver safe, compliant, and innovative solutions while gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle-from initial planning through design and construction. Responsibilities Support the design and development of aviation civil engineering projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, grading, drainage systems, access roads, hangars, fuel systems, and other airport infrastructure Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates Utilize design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering tools to develop project deliverables Participate in project coordination with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies, including FAA coordination as applicable Contribute to construction phase services, including site visits, observation, and review of contractor submittals Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, timely, and compliant design solutions Apply applicable design standards and best practices; training in FAA standards and airfield design will be provided as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program EIT/EI certification required 2 years of experience in civil engineering Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D Aviation experience preferred but not required Familiarity with FAA standards and advisory circulars is a plus Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Benefits and Perks We offer a comprehensive benefits program that supports the whole person.
