Job Summary & Purpose:
AI Systems is looking for an avionics technician with aspirations to grow as a leader in aircraft avionics and maintenance. As a technician within the avionics department, this role requires ample knowledge of aircraft electronics such as communication, navigation, and flight control systems. To accurately install, diagnose, and repair these systems, this position requires excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Requirements
Essential Functions:
The Avionics Technician's primary functions include, but are not limited to Install electrical components in aircraft in accordance with specifications Use diagnostic tools to test equipment and initiate diagnoses for malfunctions Identity faulty equipment and troubleshoot necessary repairs Communicate / collaborate with Lead Technician and Avionics Manager on prioritization of tasks Maintain a detailed record of all work performed Repair and modify aircraft avionics and electrical components Utilize technical knowledge of avionics and electrical systems in troubleshooting practices and corrective measures Read and comprehend wire diagrams, schematics, ICA's, MEL's, etc. Answers to General Manager and Avionics Manager
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma (required) 1+ Years field experience (preferred) Self-motivated problem-solver with ability to follow written/verbal instructions Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs Physically able to work in tight and/or uncomfortable spaces at times
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with electronics and electrical theory Ability to understand wire diagrams, schematics, ICA's, MEL's, and other technical documents when provided Ability to work with accuracy in detailed settings
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
