Job Description Inspect, test, maintain, repair, and certify aviation life support equipment in accordance with military specifications and technical manuals. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on survival gear, including helmets, oxygen systems, flotation devices, survival vests, harnesses, parachutes, and chemical defense equipment. Conduct operational checks and troubleshooting of life support equipment and associated components. Ensure compliance with applicable military regulations, quality standards, and safety procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection documentation, and inventory reports. Support configuration management and equipment accountability processes. Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, logistics, and flight operations personnel to ensure equipment readiness. Assist with equipment modifications, upgrades, and fielding of new systems. Perform incoming inspections and acceptance testing of new or repaired equipment. Support audits, program reviews, and military customer inspections. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency and operational effectiveness. The Successful Applicant High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of experience maintaining Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE), military aviation equipment, or related aerospace systems. Experience interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with military maintenance practices, quality standards, and documentation requirements. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficient with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
