- Valid A&P License
- 7+ years of recent experience in aircraft maintenance
- 5+ years of recent experience with avionics installation and integration
- Demonstrated Garmin avionics experience
- Develop labor estimates and technical proposals
- Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and wiring practices
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals Preferred Skills
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)
- FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL)
- Garmin factory or dealer training
- Part 135 operations and STC/DER processes

aircraft Job Duties & Functions
- Lead avionics integration and aircraft modernization activities, serving as the technical authority for avionics modifications, Garmin system integration, installation planning, and project execution.
- Develop avionics system architectures, integration concepts, installation concepts, technical work packages, standardized upgrade packages, installation standards, and work instructions.
- Evaluate aircraft configurations, Garmin and other avionics solutions, aircraft compatibility, certification requirements, electrical loads, wiring diagrams, and interface requirements.
- Provide engineering and installation expertise for technical quotes, including system architecture, equipment configuration, installation scope, labor estimates, material requirements, certification considerations, project schedules, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Coordinate with OEMs, STC holders, DERs, engineering organizations, Business Operations, Sales, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Business Development to support project execution and customer proposals.
- Participate in customer meetings and technical presentations to explain solutions, upgrade options, and project requirements.
- Review and coordinate STCs, FAA approvals, engineering documentation, operational testing, and return-to-service documentation.
- Support Production and Maintenance personnel during avionics installations and troubleshoot complex integration issues.
- Configure, test, and validate Garmin avionics systems.
- Assist the Director of Maintenance with avionics capability development, tooling, software, OEM training, installation procedures, and technical standards.
