Job Description

Job Summary

Structures Mechanic

Position Requirements:

Approximately 4 years of experience in aircraft structures or related field required

FAA Airframe Certification preferred, but not required

Job Responsibilities:

Install aircraft kits and aftermarket modifications

Perform major and minor structural repairs and alterations, including sheet metal and composite repairs

Fabricate mounting provisions for avionics installations

Read, interpret, and perform work in accordance with manufacturer drawings and instructions

Measure, drill, and modify aircraft structures while ensuring no damage to the structure or underlying components

Accurately document work performed

Work collaboratively with a team to ensure quality and timely aircraft completions

Assist with line crew duties as needed

Demonstrate safe work habits and always wear proper PPE

Consistently perform tasks with minimal to no rework

Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs., and team-lift up to 50 lbs.

Capable of kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, climbing stairs, ladders, and work stands for extended periods

Ability to stand throughout the entire shift

Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools

Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required

Good vision to focus on small details and identify defects

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors

Willingness to follow instructions and seek clarification when needed
