Updated 07/2026 Job Description Job Summary Arcus Aero is looking for a motivated, career-oriented professional A&P Mechanic with a passion for vintage aircraft to join our team.
Applicants should be able to:
Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations on piston aircraft Install Garmin avionics packages in piston aircraft Use methods, techniques, and practices prescribed in current manufacturers' maintenance manual/instructions Use other accepted methods, techniques, and practices contained in company manual system Use tools, equipment, and test apparatus, within current calibration, to assure work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations Perform and complete jobs & tasks and work with other A&P's as well as non-certificated mechanics Use general office equipment, basic computer skills and working knowledge of internet search tools, online/computerized manuals, email. Experienced candidates with >5 years of experience in general aviation maintenance and a record of avionics installations will be considered for a management position with additional pay and benefits. Requirements To be considered you MUST meet the following requirements: Hold current and valid A&P License Must have own basic aviation mechanic tools, specialized tools are provided for use if required Possess ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand the English language Previous avionics experience preferred but not required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Although not typical, work overtime (which could include nights, weekends or holidays) if needed Must possess and keep a current, valid driver's license Due to the nature of the job, candidate must be able to bend, stoop, stretch in and around aircraft and shop equipment, have ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects (over 50 pounds), and see and hear unimpaired Ability to read & interpret aircraft technical repair data Must be punctual and dependable with reliable transportation Pay dependent on experience. 40 hours a week either as 4, 4.5 or 5 day work week M-F (we are flexible).
