Mon-Fri 7AM-4PM Job Description The Avionics Technician is responsible for modifications on Dash-8 aircraft, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic systems. This role involves basic soldering and harness build-up, fault isolation and repair, wire stripping, and crimping. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance efficiently and with high quality. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and test instruments, components, and assemblies using tools such as circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters. Inspect, maintain, and install electronic systems, such as navigational systems, radar technology, radio communication systems, flight control tools, and other avionics systems. Perform operational/functional checks on aircraft electrical systems and equipment. Install, route, upgrade, and repair wire harnesses. Install avionics equipment per engineering drawings while following wiring standards. Essential Skills 4+ years of avionics experience. Strong troubleshooting skills. Experience with wire harness fabrication and installation. Must have own tools. Must be eligible for Secret clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications A&P license preferred (A license minimum). Follow a production schedule and complete work cards within designated time frames. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bridgewater, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
