Job Description

  • Avionics Technician
  • Location:
  • Everett, WA This position supports the installation, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.

Technicians will perform hands-on work on a variety of aircraft platforms and aviation programs while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in avionics, electrical systems, aircraft maintenance, wire installation, or aircraft modification environments.

  • Per Diem available for candidates living 75+ miles from the worksite.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Install, modify, maintain, and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems.

+ Perform aircraft wiring, harness routing, termination, connector installation, and electrical component integration.

+ Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical work instructions.

+ Troubleshoot electrical and avionics systems and perform corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.

+ Conduct functional testing, continuity checks, and system verification to ensure proper operation and compliance with specifications.

+ Remove, install, and reassemble aircraft panels, interiors, and components as required to access aircraft systems.

+ Utilize hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and precision instruments to complete assigned tasks.

+ Document work performed and maintain accurate records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

+ Follow established quality standards, safety procedures, and maintenance practices.

+ Coordinate with maintenance teams, engineering, quality, and production personnel to support operational goals and project schedules.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

+ Support overtime and flexible scheduling requirements as needed.

  • Required Qualifications
  • + Minimum 2+ years of experience working with avionics systems, aircraft electrical systems, wire installation, electrical assembly, or aircraft maintenance.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance documentation.

+ Experience with wiring installation, wire routing, termination, crimping, connector assembly, and electrical testing.

+ Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting methods and aircraft system integration.

+ Familiarity with standard aviation tools, test equipment, and maintenance practices.

+ Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production, maintenance, or hangar environment.

+ Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work in confined or elevated spaces as required.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + Experience supporting commercial, military, business, or general aviation aircraft.

+ FAA Airframe and/or A&P License preferred but not required.

+ Experience in aircraft modification, heavy maintenance, depot maintenance, MRO, manufacturing, completion, or installation environments.

+ Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, avionics systems, communications, navigation, flight controls, or power distribution systems.

+ Experience performing aircraft inspections, testing, and troubleshooting.

+ Military aviation maintenance experience is highly valued.

+ Technical training in avionics, electrical systems, aerospace technology, or a related field.

  • This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $30.

00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
