Job Description

Job purpose The Aircraft Engine Disassembly Technician is responsible for the systematic disassembly and cleaning of turbine engines, particularly the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A series, in strict accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures. This role ensures that all components are prepared for subsequent inspection, repair, or overhaul, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Receive incoming turbine engines Disassemble turbine engines, focusing on the PT6A series, and perform thorough cleaning of all components to prepare them for inspection and reassembly Maintain a safe and clean working environment Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, quality procedures, manufacturer and customer specifications, and industry regulation Complete all documents related to the work being performed Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications :
Good written and oral communication skills. Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to use basic hand tools and precision measuring devices required. Tools will be provided. Familiarity with quality procedures and documentation including process documentation, parts routing procedures, engineering repair instructions, detailed work instructions and non-conformance report system. Must be willing to comply with company-established safety regulations and dress code. Ability to spend extended periods working at a computer, on the phone, and on the shop floor Training will be made available for applicants who may not meet all qualifications.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent with some post-secondary education required; preference will be given to individuals with education in the aerospace industry. FAA A&P Mechanic and/or Transport Canada AME License is not required but preferred. Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney Canada publications and work instructions, including overhaul and maintenance manuals, parts catalogues and service bulletins.
