We are seeking experienced Avionics Technicians for an opportunity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, supporting maintenance operations on Shorts 360 cargo aircraft. Candidates do not need previous Shorts 360 experience. We are looking for skilled Avionics Technicians with strong aircraft electrical and avionics maintenance experience who can bring their technical expertise to the team and learn the platform.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hands-on aircraft avionics experience with a strong background in troubleshooting, testing, repair, wiring, component replacement, and electrical system maintenance in a hangar environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled avionics and electrical maintenance on Shorts 360 cargo aircraftTroubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test aircraft avionics and electrical systemsPerform wiring repairs, modifications, terminations, continuity checks, and system testingRemove, install, repair, and replace avionics and electrical componentsTroubleshoot aircraft discrepancies using wiring diagrams, schematics, maintenance manuals, and other technical dataInspect wiring, connectors, components, and electrical systems for defects, damage, and proper operationPerform operational and functional checks following maintenance and repairsEnsure all maintenance and repair work is properly documented in accordance with FAA regulations and company requirementsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentCollaborate with mechanics, leads, inspectors, and management to meet maintenance schedules and aircraft delivery requirementsFollow all company safety procedures, FAA regulations, and quality standards
Requirements
Minimum 2+ years of aircraft avionics or electrical maintenance experience requiredStrong aircraft troubleshooting and electrical experience requiredPrevious Shorts 360 experience is a plus but is not requiredAircraft-specific experience is not required; candidates with avionics experience on other aircraft platforms are encouraged to applyExperience with aircraft wiring, electrical systems, troubleshooting, testing, repairs, and component removals/installationsAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, aircraft maintenance manuals, and technical dataExperience using avionics and electrical test equipmentAbility to accurately identify and troubleshoot electrical and avionics discrepanciesFCC license or NCATT certification is a plus but not requiredA&P License is a plus but not requiredMust have own basic tools required for the positionAbility to work overtime, weekends, and flexible shifts as neededMust be able to pass required pre-employment screeningsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and FAA compliance
