Job Description
Shop Tech I - DHT Patterson-UTI United States, Texas, Fort Worth 6700 Corporation Parkway (Show on map) Jun 18, 2026 The Shop Technician - DHT works closely with DHT management and the shop coordinator to support the build, repair, and maintenance of downhole tool products. This role requires adherence to quality management systems (QMS), proper documentation of all work performed, and safe operation of shop equipment. Key responsibilities include assembling tools according to established procedures, performing repairs, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The technician will also operate material handling equipment, assist with transportation of tools and supplies, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of work. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop environment. Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Ability to assemble and repair mechanical/downhole tools following procedures
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to operate shop equipment, including breakout and lifting equipment
Basic knowledge of material handling and shop safety practices
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
Customer-focused mindset Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to pass a forklift operator test
Clean driving record to operate company vehicles Preferred Certifications Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
Experience working in a shop or oil & gas environment
Willingness to work overtime as needed
