Job Description

The Maintenance Specialist works in coordination with the President, Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager and Grounds Crew staff to maintain all facilities, including buildings, boats, and grounds.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with or leading various construction, fabrication, and logistical projects. Operating and maintaining heavy equipment as needed. Assisting with seasonal startup/shutdown of all facilities, including Steamboat Landing, Chena Village, Discovery Fleet and Gold Dredge 8. Maintain inventory, tools, and supplies in the shop. Performing additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and President. This position is part mechanic, part boat engineer, part equipment operator, part carpenter, part fabricator, and part handyman.

Schedule:

Spring & Summer:

Higher workload, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Fall & Winter:

Lighter workload, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts.

Compensation:

Wage depends on experience, with potential for increases based on performance. Skills and qualifications are preferred, but not necessary. Willing to train the right candidate.
