Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, job incumbent is responsible for building maintenance tasks at the TCC owned and operated facilities. Adhere to the TCC Ch'eghwtsen' model of service and guiding principle which requires providing timely and effective service along with the ability to interact with others in a way that inspires trust and demonstrates respect, compassion and empathy.Essential Functions Essential Functions:

Under direct supervision of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, the job incumbent: 1. Receives daily assignments. 2. Perform or assist with maintenance duties including minor electrical repairs, minor plumbing repairs, light carpentry, painting and mechanical work. 3. Operate Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and work with the team to complete department work orders to the point of ensuring that they are closed out from the system. Provide feedback to customers as necessary. 4. Routinely inspect the physical facility to ensure all systems are operable and in good repair. 5. Assist the Facility Supervisor to ensure compliance with facility regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. 6. Assist with maintenance at any rural 105L TCC leased buildings/clinics in the Upper Tanana Subregion on an as needed basis. 7. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. 8. Move office furniture, boxes, and other materials. Assist purchasing, receiving, and support services with large shipping and receiving orders. Run errands. 9. Dispose of old furniture and equipment as instructed. Provide on-site repair or adjustment to furniture, furnishings and equipment. 10. Routinely inspect the facilities to ensure all systems are operable and in good repair. 11. Perform grounds maintenance including removal of litter, lawn care, sign maintenance and winter shoveling/sanding.Other Responsibilities:
1. Preforms other job related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED. 2. Technical or vocational school education and one year related experience in a maintenance environment preferred. 3. Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. 4. Valid driver's license and remain insurable under TCC insurance policy. 5. Must pass background check pursuant to federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. The ability to perform or assist with carpentry, plumbing, machine repair and painting are preferred. 2. Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the representative functions. 3. Must feel comfortable with working in a team environment. 4. Required to use judgment when performing and planning to perform his/her tasks. 5. Ability to work independently and with others. 6. Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and work with minimal supervision.Supervision:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Supervision Physical demands:
May review interior and exterior work that involves hazardous environments requiring protective equipment that conforms to OSHA regulations and some physical discomfort due to temperature, dust and noise. May be required to work in confined spaces, on ladders and rooftops, and in adverse weather conditions. May be required to work outside the traditional 8 am to 5 pm work schedule when called to assist with emergency situations. Job incumbent may be subject to harsh environmental conditions when traveling. Conditions include but are not limited to the following: travel by small unpressurized aircraft, travel by 4WD vehicles, boats, snow machines, and all-terrain vehicles to existing and possible future locations of sanitation facilities in remote communities, lack of running water, poor heat, and extreme weather conditions. Job incumbent must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in support of equipment and supplies on village trips, sometimes by foot between airstrips and villages (up to one mile). Work requires recurring bending, climbing and crawling around water treatment plants and water storage tanks; sewage treatment, collection, and disposal facilities; and traversing heavily vegetated, sloped terrain. Requires the ability to walk extensively on uneven terrain or slippery surfaces. Ability bend, stoop, or reach. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to safely work on equipment in unstable conditions. Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.Summation Summary:
