Independent Contractor Opportunity -

USPS Mail Delivery Route Location:

Tok, AK area

Compensation:

$277.23 - $417.43 per trip (daily route)Steadfast Transportation Inc. is seeking a self-employed independent contractor who is customarily engaged in the independently established business of providing mail and package delivery services using their own vehicle and equipment.

Contract Responsibilities:

Sort and sequence mail and packages for daily delivery Load and deliver mail and packages along the established route Deliver accountable mail items (Express Mail, parcels) — dismount vehicle as needed Collect outgoing mail and packages daily Perform other route-related administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

Must pass USPS background check and driving record review (no felonies, no DUIs) Able to work in all weather conditions Able to lift up to 70 lbs. Vehicle Requirements (Contractor-Owned): One dependable vehicle with at least 120 cubic feet of usable cargo space (van, SUV, or similar) All-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive preferred The contractor is solely responsible for all fuel, maintenance, repairs, insurance, licensing, and all other operating costs.

Key Contract Terms:

This is a true 1099 independent contractor position — you operate as your own business owner, not an employee. You have sole discretion over the means, manner, method, and details of performing the services, subject only to meeting USPS Highway Contract Route standards and required results. You may subcontract or use qualified substitutes (subject to USPS clearance requirements).You bear the full entrepreneurial risk of profit or loss based on your management of expenses and performance. No employee benefits, tax withholding, or paid time off. You are fully responsible for all business taxes, insurance, and expenses. Contractor must maintain a principal place of business and meet all requirements to qualify as an independent contractor under Alaska law, including Alaska Statutes
