Maintenance Technician

• Plant Operations Anniston , AL Trade/Technical full-time , days , 7a-3p Req # 15954 Performs routine maintenance and repairs on hospital equipment such as electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, furniture, chillers, boilers and various pieces of equipment. Performs preventative maintenance of said system and equipment as outlined by hospital standard. Records results of work in computer work order system, documents time and material use on each work order form. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or director. Conducts Preventive Maintenance Tasks in general patient care areas. Conducts Preventive Maintenance Tasks in non-patient care areas. Performs other duties as directed and scheduled. Maintains records of service performed and planning. Maintains shops and equipment rooms. High school graduate or GED.
Prefer:
knowledge of general principles of several skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical and machinery repair as normally acquired through completion of a technical high school education or through completion of up to six months technical training beyond high school. Prefer one-two year's relevant experience necessary in order to gain knowledge of equipment repair and to be able to troubleshoot and diagnose a wide variety of machinery and mechanical problems. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to be courteous to patients, visitors, and staff while performing repair and maintenance tasks.
