Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Door Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, hanging, and repairing various types of doors across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure that doors are securely fitted, function smoothly, and meet all building code standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and skills, and contribute to creating safe and aesthetically pleasing environments. Duties Measure door openings accurately and interpret technical drawings or schematics to determine installation requirements Install a variety of doors including interior, exterior, metal, wood, and custom fixtures using hand tools and power tools Perform door hanging, frame carpentry, and trim carpentry to ensure proper alignment and secure fitting Conduct mechanical repairs or adjustments to door hardware, hinges, locks, and handles for optimal operation Fabricate or modify door components as needed using welding, metal stud framing, or other fabrication techniques Ensure compliance with building codes by inspecting installations and making necessary adjustments for safety and durability Assist with related tasks such as caulking, fixture installation, cabinet installation, and remodeling projects to support overall project completion Requirements Proven experience in door installation, carpentry, or construction site work with a strong understanding of building practices Mechanical knowledge related to door hardware, electrical work (for electronic locks or sensors), and mechanical repair processes Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills, saws; welding equipment is a plus Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately Physical capability for heavy lifting, climbing ladders or scaffolding, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces Knowledge of building code compliance standards relevant to door installation and remodeling projects Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members during installations Construction experience in remodeling or renovation environments is highly desirable Join us in delivering high-quality door solutions that enhance safety and style!
