Job Description

Eastern Shore Lanes - Spanish Fort, Alabama Full-Time | $50,000/year | Medical, Dental & PTO Eastern Shore Lanes is looking for a dependable, hands-on Amusement Equipment & Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is not primarily a building-maintenance position. We are looking for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment. Our family entertainment center includes 24 bowling lanes, a large arcade, electric go-karts, laser tag, high ropes, Clip 'n Climb, mini golf and other attractions. You will help keep this equipment operating safely and reliably. What You'll Work On Responsibilities include: Troubleshoot and repair arcade games and amusement equipment Maintain and troubleshoot our electric go-karts Assist with maintenance and repair of Brunswick GSX bowling equipment Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems involving motors, sensors, switches, relays, wiring and power supplies Use a multimeter and other diagnostic tools to identify equipment problems Perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer schedules Inspect equipment for wear, damage and potential safety issues Make mechanical adjustments and replace worn or damaged components Maintain attractions including laser tag, climbing equipment and other entertainment systems Perform basic facility repairs when needed Keep maintenance areas, tools and parts organized Document repairs and preventive-maintenance work Respond promptly when equipment goes down during operating hours Work with management to identify recurring equipment problems and prevent future downtime You Do NOT Need Bowling or Arcade Experience We are willing to train the right person on our specific equipment. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in areas such as: Automotive or equipment repair Industrial maintenance Electrical or electronic troubleshooting Arcade or amusement equipment HVAC or appliance repair Low-voltage electrical systems Golf carts, electric vehicles or similar equipment Motors, controls, sensors and wiring If you are the type of person who likes figuring out why something isn't working and how to fix it , we want to talk to you. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Has strong mechanical aptitude Has hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience Is comfortable using hand tools, power tools and a multimeter Can troubleshoot a problem rather than simply replace parts Is dependable and takes pride in keeping equipment operating properly Understands the importance of safety and preventive maintenance Can work independently but also communicate well with managers and other employees Is willing to learn specialized bowling, arcade and amusement equipment Can lift, bend, climb and work around machinery as required Is available to work some evenings and weekends when needed Why Join Eastern Shore Lanes? That should better target the mechanic/electrical/equipment-repair person you're actually looking for and reduce applicants whose experience is primarily janitorial or building maintenance.
