POSITION PROFILE
Respond to all engineering service calls, giving priority to guest requests, and maintain hotel equipment in an efficient, safe, accident-free manner. Ensure a safe, resourceful, and well-maintained hotel environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES
Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner. Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms. Maintain the cleanliness and general maintenance duties in the engineering spaces as well as other assigned daily operations. Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order. Complete maintenance requests, take equipment and maintain log to notify the next shift. Respond to all emergency situations including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities. Assist with maintenance of parking lot and sand/snow removal and special events as needed. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
High school diploma or equivalent trade school, special courses in building maintenance and construction. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • 75 plus lbs. supplies, equipment and machinery. Bending
  • required to perform inspections and repairs frequently throughout shift. Kneeling
  • required to perform inspections and repairs frequently throughout shift.
Continuous movement throughout hotel required to respond quickly to emergency.
