Job Description
Industrial Maintenance Technician We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Mobile, AL . This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, safety-minded, and comfortable troubleshooting equipment, facility systems, and managing day-to-day maintenance needs. The right candidate will be dependable, proactive, and able to prioritize repairs that keep operations running smoothly. Job Responsibilities Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, facilities, systems, and grounds. Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner, prioritizing critical repairs. Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and general facility systems. Work closely with maintenance, management, and other departments to support production and facility needs. Coordinate with internal team members and outside specialists when more complex repairs are required. Schedule repairs, maintenance, and installations to minimize operational disruption when possible. Provide updates on project status, schedules, completed work, and any changes impacting maintenance timelines. Follow safety procedures and complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus. 2-4 years of experience in machinery, equipment, and/or facility maintenance required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Working knowledge of general carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a busy environment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions. Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with team members, leadership, and outside vendors. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email/calendar tools. Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining a safe, productive work environment. Compensation and Benefits Pay rate : $25-$32/hour, depending on experience
