Job Description

Maintenance Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Replace light bulbs, HVAC filters, circuit breakers, etc. as required.
  • Ensure functionality of building systems (time clocks, door entries, lighting, etc.).
  • Conduct general building repairs to maintain a safe and comfortable work environment.
  • Maintain storage racks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for out-of-scope repairs (e.g., air conditioners, air compressors, specialized systems).
  • Promote and adhere to all workplace safety protocols.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on sewing machines, embroidery equipment, and automated machinery (cutting, turning, forming).
  • Modify or upgrade machinery to improve performance or support production changes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Support equipment calibration and documentation in line with maintenance and quality calendars.
  • Respond quickly to machine downtime and minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
  • Research and source necessary parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Obtain quotes, order supplies, and track inventory related to maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with layout changes, machinery setup, and process improvements.
  • Support the standardization of maintenance procedures to increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Complete all Corrective (RANC) and Preventive (DACP) Actions within required timelines.
  • Ensure maintenance activities align with ISO standards and internal QMS procedures.
  • Participate in the review and update of quality control procedures annually.
  • Maintain and revise sections of the QMS manual, including processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Track and meet quality calendar deadlines for audits, calibrations, and reviews.
  • Stay current with documentation relevant to your role.
  • Maintain a positive and open attitude in interactions with team members.
  • Foster good relationships with production employees, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Actively contribute to onboarding new employees by presenting your role and responsibilities.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual company presentations and training events.
  • Encourage and model safe work habits and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Job requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining sewing, embroidery, or automated machinery
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Familiarity with general facility maintenance (HVAC, electrical, building systems)
  • Experience working within ISO-certified environments and quality assurance systems (preferred)
  • Proficient in documenting repairs, calibrations, and standard operating procedures
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using digital tools for documentation, tracking, and communication

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
