Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This vital role involves maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests and staff alike. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a comprehensive understanding of building systems, mechanical and electrical repairs, and facilities maintenance. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all hotel facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building interior components. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using hand tools, schematics, and technical knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical equipment. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and plumbing repairs to uphold the hotel's aesthetic standards and operational safety. Maintain HVAC systems by diagnosing faults, replacing parts, and ensuring optimal performance through regular servicing. Supervise maintenance projects, coordinate with vendors or contractors when necessary, and oversee the work quality to ensure compliance with safety standards. Use electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose wiring or component issues accurately. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed to ensure compliance with operational procedures. Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests to resolve issues efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in building interior maintenance and facilities equipment upkeep. Proficiency in electrical work including repair of electrical equipment and troubleshooting using schematics. Experience with HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance and repair, and familiarity with plumbing codes. Skilled in welding, carpentry (including residential painting), maintenance painting, and general facilities maintenance tasks. Ability to read technical schematics and operate hand tools effectively for various repair tasks. Supervising experience in a maintenance environment with leadership skills to guide team members or contractors. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks clearly with team members and vendors. Knowledge of Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) practices for efficient facility management in a hospitality setting. $22.38 - $26.95 per hour
