Public Works Technician - Grounds Maintenance Do you enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and taking pride in a job well done? Inframark is looking for hardworking Public Works Technicians to help maintain parks, roads, public spaces, and community facilities. This role is a great fit for people with experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, parks and recreation, lawn care, construction, or outdoor maintenance. If you have experience operating tractors and other equipment, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do As a Public Works Technician, you'll help maintain and improve the community every day by performing a variety of outdoor and maintenance tasks. Grounds and Landscape Maintenance Mow rights-of-way, parks, and other public properties Trim grass, trees, shrubs, and hedges Remove brush, leaves, and debris Plant and care for trees, flowers, and landscaping Apply fertilizer and weed control products as directed Assist with sodding and other landscape projects Equipment Operation Safely operate equipment such as: Tractors with bush hogs Lawn mowers Weed eaters Chippers Chain saws Backhoes Jackhammers Leaf collection equipment Help maintain and fuel equipment and vehicles Community and Roadway Maintenance Repair sidewalks, curbs, and other concrete surfaces Help maintain roads and public facilities Clean drainage systems and remove roadway debris Install and maintain traffic and street signs Assist with fence repairs and minor building maintenance Support storm cleanup and emergency response efforts Community Events Help set up and take down equipment for festivals, parades, and public events Set up stages, decorations, and event areas Assist with cleanup during and after events What We're Looking For Preferred Qualifications Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, parks and recreation, construction, or a related field Experience operating tractors or mowing equipment High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license with a good driving record Skills and Abilities Ability to safely use tools and equipment Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to work well with a team Basic reading, writing, and math skills Commitment to safety and quality work Work Environment This is an outdoor position that works in all types of weather conditions, including: Heat and cold Rain and humidity Dust and pollen Traffic and construction areas Emergency and storm response situations Safety is a top priority, and all work is performed according to company and OSHA safety standards. Physical Requirements This is a physically active position.Candidates must be able to:
