Job Description
Maintenance Technician The Urban Loft Co. Position Overview The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring residents enjoy a safe, well-maintained, and comfortable living environment. This position requires reliability, strong technical skills, and excellent communication. You'll work closely with property managers, supervisors, and vendors to address maintenance needs efficiently and professionally while representing The Urban Loft Co. with a friendly, solution-focused attitude. Core ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Respond promptly and professionally to service requests Perform general repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance work Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times Complete project-based tasks as assigned Leave detailed notes in work orders for all completed tasks Monitor supply levels and equipment condition; notify the Maintenance Supervisor of needs Property Maintenance Conduct regular property walks to proactively identify and resolve issues Complete unit maintenance quickly to ensure units are market-ready on schedule Self-evaluate work quality and identify areas for improvement Ensure vendors deliver high-quality work and positive tenant interactions Independence & Accountability Complete all tasks to company standards and within established timelines Maintain open communication with the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure alignment Provide tenants with advance notice prior to any maintenance work Qualifications Strong communication and problem-solving skills Proven reliability and ability to self-manage workload Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Basic proficiency in: Painting and drywall repair Plumbing HVAC Electrical Appliance repair Ability to safely operate standard maintenance tools Must pass background and driving record checks Previous maintenance experience preferred Performance Expectations Timely completion of assigned work orders Professional appearance and communication with tenants and team members Consistent, solution-focused attitude Quick unit turnover time and adherence to quality standards Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per weekBenefits:
