The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment in a metal fabrication facility supporting automotive customers. This role plays a critical part in meeting
IATF 16949
requirements by ensuring equipment reliability, preventive maintenance compliance, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in accordance with documented maintenance plans and

- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems on metal fabrication equipment such as stamping presses, CNC machines, robotic welding cells, and conveyors
- Execute maintenance tasks in compliance with controlled work instructions, procedures, and engineering standards
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS, including root cause, corrective actions, and parts used
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and continuous improvement activities
- Assist with equipment installation, validation, and change management, including updates to PFMEAs, Control Plans, and work instructions as required
- Identify and escalate equipment-related quality risks that may impact product conformity
- Support containment actions and corrective actions related to equipment failures or customer concerns
- Perform welding, fabrication, and machining repairs as required
- Maintain calibration awareness of equipment and tooling where applicable
- Adhere to safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and company environmental policies
- Support internal and external audits related to IATF 16949, customer, and safety requirements
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in all work areas Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in automotive or metal fabrication environments
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including presses, tooling, conveyors, and automation
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission
- Basic electrical troubleshooting (motors, sensors, safety circuits; PLC exposure preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
- Welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick) preferred
- Familiarity with IATF 16949, PFMEA, Control Plans, and preventive maintenance documentation
