Duties Perform comprehensive floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore floors to their optimal condition. Handle and apply cleaning chemicals and floor care products safely and effectively, adhering to environmental and safety standards. Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, extractors, and carpet cleaning machines with precision. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of equipment or furniture during cleaning or maintenance activities. Maintain high standards of cleanliness through routine custodial tasks like sweeping, mopping, and detailed cleaning of floors across different surfaces. Execute specialized floor treatments such as carpet cleaning, tile stripping, sealing, and floor waxing to prolong flooring lifespan. Follow safety protocols during chemical agent handling and ensure proper disposal of waste materials in compliance with environmental services guidelines. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with a focus on floor care. Strong knowledge of floor cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and environmentally friendly cleaning practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during manual handling tasks. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Familiarity with various flooring types including tile, vinyl, carpet, hardwood, and epoxy coatings. Skilled in performing floor buffing, polishing, waxing, and refinishing techniques for a high-quality finish.
