Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of the Westrock facilities and grounds. This individual will perform manual tasks essential to the upkeep and appearance of the facilities and will work independently with limited supervision. The Facilities Technician will report to the Site Engineer.
Responsibilities include:
Perform routine maintenance such as painting, plumbing, HVAC, minor electrical repairs. Perform building inspections (fire sprinklers, extinguishers, HVAC) Repair and make improvements to building and infrastructure Support and maintain fire protection systems Perform preventive maintenance on interior and exterior areas of the facilities. Perform all duties and actions in a safe manner and continuously monitor areas to ensure that safety procedures are being followed. Follow all required work safety procedures to include wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications include:
Prefer 3 years or more of work experience in facilities maintenance. High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with clean driving record Knowledge of general maintenance Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skillset Able to proficiently use man lifts and safety systems during operation of lifts. Experience with fabrication, light welding OSHA 30 Certified (preferred) Forklift Certified (preferred) Experience working alone and with people from diverse backgrounds Self- motivated and well organized Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers. Basic computer skills, specifically ability to use email for communication
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
