Job Overview The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for completing scheduled and non-scheduled work as directed by the building maintenance supervisor, including but not limited to plumbing, facility electrical, carpentry, HVAC, flooring, roofing, masonry, repairs to loading docks, painting, repairs to overhead doors, cleaning, boiler repair and maintenance, restocking paper products, and recycling equipment maintenance. Duties & Responsibilities Upkeeps and updates the lighting in the facility, including re-lamping, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing fixtures Maintains and upgrades plumbing systems, including cleaning drains; installing and troubleshooting fixtures, and repairing drain pans Performs general carpentry, including installation of partition, dry way repair, and finish carpentry and painting Conducts masonry repairing forklift damage, patching concrete floors and walls, and pouring concrete bollards Performs electrical work by installing commercial wiring; troubleshooting and repairing commercial wiring Performs HVAC troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Security, and Fire Alarm Systems Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience Preferred Qualifications N/A Work Environment Noisy and non-temperature-controlled environment Equal Opportunity Employer - All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
