About the Role Soilworks is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our Casa Grande manufacturing facility, equipment, and grounds operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment installation, facility upkeep, pump rebuilding, hose repair, and maintenance-related projects. You will work closely with production and leadership to minimize downtime, maintain a safe and organized facility, and continuously improve the reliability of our operations. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves position. We are looking for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, fixing equipment, improving systems, and taking ownership rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done. What You'll Do Equipment Maintenance & Repair Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on production and facility equipment. Maintain and repair pumps, forklifts, pressure washers, air compressors, tote shearers, verticals, hoses, power tools, and related equipment. Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical problems and implement effective corrective actions. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production emergencies to minimize downtime. Rebuild pumps and repair or replace hoses, fittings, valves, and other components as needed. Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment history. Keep tools, shop equipment, and maintenance areas clean, organized, and in safe working condition. Facility & Yard Maintenance Maintain the facility, production areas, yard, structures, equipment, and related infrastructure. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and reliability issues before they become problems. Support facility improvements, equipment installations, expansions, and modifications. Maintain an organized yard and ensure proper storage and handling of 275-gallon IBC containers and other equipment. Assist with janitorial, PM cleaning, and general facility upkeep as required. Help prepare the facility for current and future production requirements. Safety, Compliance & Quality Follow Soilworks safety policies and applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, and site requirements. Promote a proactive safety culture through equipment inspections, maintenance practices, housekeeping, and secure site operations. Complete required equipment and safety checks and promptly address unsafe conditions. Obtain and maintain confined-space entry certification and follow all applicable confined-space procedures. Safely operate forklifts, pressure washers, power tools, and other mechanical equipment. Support compliant handling of waste streams, wastewater, chemicals, and environmentally sensitive materials. Work with the Quality Control team to ensure equipment and processes support product quality and consistency. Maintain required documentation, inspection records, and maintenance logs. Inventory & Operational Support Maintain accurate inventory of tools, maintenance supplies, consumables, totes, equipment, and plant assets. Assist with loading and unloading bulk materials and 275-gallon IBC containers when needed. Assist with cleaning, labeling, sealing, and reconditioning totes for production use. Maintain organized storage areas, labeling systems, and material flow throughout the facility. Use company systems and digital tools to document work, track tasks, and maintain operational visibility. Participate in weekly virtual company meetings and communicate maintenance priorities, issues, and project status. Projects & Process Improvement Lead or participate in maintenance and facility improvement projects. Support equipment upgrades, new equipment installations, facility expansions, automation initiatives, and safety improvements. Assist with sourcing, quoting, scheduling, execution, and closeout of maintenance projects. Provide practical technical input during project planning and implementation. Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, maintenance costs, waste, and safety risks. Develop and improve preventive maintenance practices that extend equipment life and improve reliability. Recommend and implement practical solutions that make the facility safer, more efficient, and more scalable. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Ability to work a 40-hour workweek, with overtime as needed. Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment. Ability to safely operate a forklift; forklift certification or equivalent experience required. Ability to work safely with power tools, pumps, pressure washers, and other industrial equipment. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the workday. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in Arizona conditions. Ability to work in confined spaces when required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Basic computer skills for maintenance records, inventory tracking, and project documentation. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. Preferred Experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial maintenance, or a related field. Experience maintaining pumps, air compressors, forklifts, pressure washers, hoses, or similar equipment. Experience with basic electrical troubleshooting. Confined-space experience or certification. Experience with preventive maintenance programs. Experience supporting or leading maintenance, facility, or equipment installation projects. Experience using digital tools for work orders, task management, inventory, or documentation. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity and the ability to work in a demanding industrial environment. Combination of indoor and outdoor work. Exposure to Arizona heat, dust, vibration, industrial equipment, and chemicals. Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, and lifting. Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing 50-60 pounds. Frequent operation of forklifts, pressure washers, power tools, and other industrial equipment. Ability to work safely in confined spaces and other high-risk work areas when required. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
