The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, inspection, and/or overhaul of a variety of comb, tactical, commercial, and special purpose vehicles and equipment.

ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army Nional Guard, in a military organizion supported by the FMS3. This is an excepted service position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guard, required prior to the effective de of placement. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Nional Guard must be eligible for immedie membership and employment in the Nional Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Incumbent must possess and maintain a current unrestricted, excluding glasses, ste and military driver's license. Irregular (compensory) hours may be required to support operional requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. Must possess and maintain access to the Arizona Army Nional Guard computer network (NIPR) and required systems. This position requires constant domain access. Must possess or be able to obtain required GCSS (Global Comb Support System} -Army certificion within 15 days of hire de. Must be able to maintain access to GCSS-Army. Rank availability dependent on each maintenance facility. Maximum rank may be lower based on specific shop requirements. Must possess least 12 months experience or training using common hand and power tools and a small variety of test and measurement devices to make mechanical repairs. Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of parts, components, and accessories. Experience which demonstres a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to vehicles; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments. Experience demonstring an understanding of the makeup and operion of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelionships. Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schemics.

Ability to repair or overhaul major components such as diesel, multi-fuel or gasoline engines, turbine engines, automic and manual transmissions, drive line assemblies, electrical and electronic systems and accessories, fuel injection systems, and emission control systems.
