Position Summary The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance & Landscaping Manager and plays a vital role in preserving the beauty, functionality, and safety of The Hermosa Inn and LON's. This position is responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of the resort's physical assets, including guest rooms, public areas, restaurant facilities, kitchen equipment, building systems, and grounds. The ideal candidate is a skilled, self-motivated professional with experience in multiple maintenance trades and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests. Essential Responsibilities Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests while providing courteous and professional guest service. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) in guest rooms to ensure rooms meet Hermosa Inn quality and appearance standards. Maintain and monitor the swimming pool, spas, pumps, filtration systems, and chemical balances. Perform basic maintenance and repairs on restaurant and kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, refrigeration units, plumbing, lighting, drains, filters, and related equipment. Troubleshoot and repair building systems involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, HVAC, and other general maintenance tasks. Exercise sound judgment when assessing maintenance issues, prioritizing guest satisfaction, safety, and the best interests of the resort. Maintain accurate records, complete required paperwork, and communicate maintenance needs effectively. Assist with additional projects and operational tasks as needed. Due to the boutique nature of our property, team members are expected to be flexible and willing to support various operational needs. Qualifications General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance. Basic knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment maintenance preferred. Experience with swimming pool and spa maintenance is preferred. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to lift, climb ladders, work indoors and outdoors, and perform the physical duties required of the position. Hospitality or resort maintenance experience is preferred.
