Job Description

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Has knowledge in all of the trades including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, grounds maintenance, etc.

Able to operate a variety of machines including a backhoe.

Ability to perform physically strenous tasks including being able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Ability to perform tasks requiring walking, stooping, squatting, and climbing. Must also be able to work from scaffolding.

Ability to read and interpret written work assignments.

Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and staff.

Able to obtain or possess an Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Reports To:

Director of Maintenance and Transportation

Job Goal:

To use skills and knowledge to maintain the district's facilities in a safe and fully operational condition.

Performance Responsibilities:

Performs repair, construction, alteration, and other maintenance functions.

Performs preventative maintenance to district facilities and equipment according to established schedules.

Completes work in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and welding as assigned.

May assist in maintenance of school grounds as necessary.

Operates heavy equipment as necessary.

Performs other related duties as required.

Terms of Employment:

12 months. Salary established by the Governing Board. Employee benefits in accordance with district policies.

Salary:

$17.20 to $19.80 Per Hour
