About the position : Pro Housing is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our housing properties, apartments, and facilities in great working condition. This is an entry-level position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills. No two days are necessarily the same, so we're looking for someone who is adaptable, takes pride in their work, and follows through on what they're asked to do.
You don't need to be an expert in everything on day one. We're looking for someone with basic maintenance knowledge, mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

Position Type:
Full Time, Regular Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am -3:30 p.m. Weekends, evenings, and occasional off-hours work may be required, particularly during seasonal housing operations.
Location :
Surprise (85374) and/or Goodyear (85338). Regular travel between Pro Housing properties and facilities throughout the Phoenix metro area and surrounding communities required.
Essential Duties:
Maintenance & Repairs Completes maintenance requests and work orders. Performs basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, drywall, painting, and general repairs. Performs routine pool maintenance and helps keep pool areas clean, safe, and operational. Performs preventative maintenance and routine property inspections. Troubleshoots problems and knows when to escalate an issue or involve a vendor Identifies safety concerns, damage, and potential maintenance issues before they become larger problems. Maintains tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies. Housing & Property Support Assists with apartment setups, turnovers, move-outs, and furniture/equipment moves. Helps prepare units for incoming residents and guests. Inspects units and identify maintenance, damage, or safety concerns. Assists with property walks, common-area maintenance, and grounds work. Works with Housing and Housekeeping teams to keep units and projects on schedule. Projects & Teamwork Assists with property improvement and maintenance projects. Helps coordinate with vendors and contractors as directed. Picks up or organizes materials and supplies needed for assigned work. Keeps accurate records of completed work and outstanding issues. Communicates clearly with Housing, Housekeeping, Operations, management, vendors, and residents. Support seasonal housing operations, including periods of increased unit turnover and setup activity. Qualifications:
Previous maintenance, construction, apartment, hotel, facilities, or similar experience preferred, but not required Basic knowledge of common hand and power tools. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, pool maintenance, or general building repairs. Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Dependable, organized, and able to follow through on assignments. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Professional and courteous when working with residents, guests, coworkers, and vendors. Bi-Lingual (English, Spanish) preferred, but not required Possession of a valid driver's license Ability to pass pre-employment background check, DMV check, and drug test Ability to lift and move furniture, equipment, tools, and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors.
