Job Description

Part-Time Cleaner / Janitor - Office Building Maxcity Properties Alhambra, CA Job Details Part-time $1,200 a month 16 hours ago Benefits Safety equipment provided Qualifications Janitorial experience Office cleaning Full Job Description Maxcity Properties is hiring a reliable part-time cleaner for our 4-story, 32,000 sq ft commercial office building in downtown Alhambra. This is a steady, long-term position (5 shifts a week, 3 hours each) with flexibility on when your shift starts. All supplies, equipment, and PPE are provided. You'll work independently and will be the person we count on to keep the building looking sharp for our tenants and their visitors.
The schedule:
Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday — maintenance days Wednesday and Friday — detail days Maintenance days — Sun / Tue /
Thu:
Routine maintenance comes first and takes priority. This covers the building's common areas top to bottom: Collect trash from all common areas, replace bags, and place in the dumpster in the back alley Full restroom cleaning service on all floors — toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, partitions, mop floors Restock restrooms if needed — toilet paper, paper towels, soap, toilet seat covers, sanitary disposal bags in the stalls Sweep, mop, and vacuum the lobby, hallways, elevator cab, and stairwells Wipe high-touch surfaces — door handles, railings, light switches, walls Spot-clean interior glass and entry doors Report any maintenance issues you spot — leaks, burnt-out bulbs, damage — to the property manager Initial the restroom log sheet on each floor If time remains after the maintenance is done, move on to detail work. Detail days — Wed /
Fri:
Start with a 15-20 minute walk of the building: check every restroom, pull trash, top up supplies, and make sure nothing needs immediate attention. If nothing is pressing, the rest of the shift is dedicated to detail work. The building recently completed construction and the contractors left work behind. You'll work from a written punch list broken out room by room — Suite 301, Suite 303, the elevator lobby, stairwell B, and so on — so you're never guessing what to work on next. Work includes but isn't limited to: Removing paint blotches and overspray from floors, walls, and fixtures Cleaning paint off door frames, trim, and hardware Scrubbing baseboards and removing scuffs and stains Clearing drywall dust and construction residue You'll be provided with a log of the entire building. Mark off each area as you finish it and jot down the work that was completed. This is careful, methodical work with visible results, and the list is how you get credit for it — we'll both be able to see exactly how much ground you've covered. If you take pride in doing a thorough job, you'll do well here.
A note on judgment:
the split above is the plan for most weeks, not a rule to follow to the tee. If you walk in on a detail day and a restroom bin is overflowing or something obviously needs handling, handle it. We'd rather you use common sense than follow a schedule into a mess. What we're looking for: Prior commercial or janitorial cleaning experience (office, medical, retail, or post-construction) Dependability. Showing up on time every shift and working diligently is the most important part of this job Reliable transportation to Alhambra Strong attention to detail Comfortable working independently and using good judgment with minimal supervision Able to communicate in English with management Able to lift up to 40 lbs, use stairs, and stand, bend, and walk for the full shift Nice to have: Experience with floor equipment (buffer, auto-scrubber) Post-construction cleanup background Why work here: Consistent schedule you can plan around — same five days every week, no nights All supplies and equipment provided Small, direct organization — you'll work directly with management, not a call center Long-term position with potential for more hours and higher pay down the road
Pay:
$1,200.00 per month Application Question(s): This role works Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday — 3 hours per day. Are you available for that schedule? Are you comfortable with detail work such as removing paint splatter and scrubbing baseboards? What is the earliest date you could start?
