Job Summary:
Greenhorn Creek Resort is seeking a dependable and versatile Facility Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our resort facilities. This hands-on role includes general handyman work, pool maintenance, assist with tournaments and banquet event setup. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repair duties on resort buildings, equipment, and grounds Handle basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry tasks as needed Maintain resort pools and spas, including chemical balancing, cleaning, and routine equipment checks (training provided if needed) Set up and break down banquet and event spaces (tables, chairs, AV equipment, etc.) according to event specifications Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and event equipment Follow up with vendors for scheduled deliveries, repairs, and service coordination Conduct routine inspections and address facility issues proactively Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and resort policies Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and resort departments
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in maintenance, handyman work, or facility upkeep preferred Pool maintenance experience or willingness to obtain training/certification Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods Experience with banquet or event setup a plus Strong organizational and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
Physical Environment:
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors throughout the resort property Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind Regular exposure to cleaning agents, pool chemicals, dust, and noise from tools/equipment May work in confined spaces or at heights on ladders or lifts Must be comfortable navigating uneven terrain, grassy areas, and resort grounds Fast-paced, guest-facing resort environment requiring professionalism and attention to detail
