ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Perform a variety of orthopedic related activities including applying and removing dressings, assisting in operating room as permitted by state guidelines, removing sutures/staples, applying and removing casts and splints, monitoring and distributing DME. Assist staff in other duties including escorting patients, taking vital signs and and assisting with minor procedures. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain work area, ORs, supplies. Perform associated clerical tasks as assigned. Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times. Adhere to employer work practices. Work as a team member within the Operating Room and all other departments. Effectively cope with typical job stress. Document work processes as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Certified Orthopedic Technology training program preferred. And/or Completion of an Allied Health program in a related field with Surgical Assist program preferred. And/or Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
Certification/Licensure:
AHA BLS for
Healthcare Provider Experience:
Minimum two (2) years experience in a clinic and/or hospital/surgery center setting. USD $30.00/Hr. USD $58.00/Hr.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Certified Orthopedic Technology training program preferred. And/or Completion of an Allied Health program in a related field with Surgical Assist program preferred. And/or Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
