Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate. 2. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. 3. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. 4. Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices. 5. Maintain or repair specialized equipment or machinery located in cafeterias, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices, or factories. 6. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment. 7. Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff to improve their skill set and knowledge of the machinery.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing setting is required. 2. Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.). 3. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. 4. Understanding of using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot machinery. 5. Demonstrated skills in electrical, plumbing, or other related fields. 6. Strong problem-solving ability with the capacity to detect and diagnose faults and malfunctions. 7. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight. 8. Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship. 9. Valid certification to operate forklifts is a plus. 10. Good understanding of basic math. 11. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
