In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing a wide range of material handling equipment, including forklifts, Raymond reach trucks, scissor lifts, and other industrial machinery. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of equipment critical to our production processes, contributing to safety, efficiency, and productivity. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with a strong background in industrial mechanics and electrical systems to showcase their technical skills in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Raymond forklifts and material handling equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on forklifts and related warehouse equipment. Troubleshoot electrical and electronic control systems, including wiring, switches, sensors, motors, controllers, and related components. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, steering, braking, mast, lift, and drive systems. Service and repair reach trucks, order pickers, electric pallet jacks, walkie riders, and other electric warehouse equipment. Diagnose intermittent equipment faults and identify root causes rather than simply replacing components. Inspect forklifts for safety issues and identify equipment requiring immediate repair or removal from service. Perform battery, charger, connector, and electrical system inspections and repairs. Replace worn or damaged components including wheels, tires, bearings, chains, hoses, switches, contactors, and other mechanical or electrical parts. Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and equipment history. Maintain an appropriate inventory of commonly required replacement parts and maintenance supplies. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize warehouse operational downtime. Coordinate outside service when repairs require specialized equipment or manufacturer support. Maintain a clean and organized maintenance/work area. Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed in accordance with applicable safety requirements and manufacturer recommendations. Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of other warehouse equipment as needed. Qualifications 3+ years of forklift or material handling equipment repair experience preferred. Direct experience servicing Raymond equipment strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of electric forklift systems and troubleshooting. Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems. Experience working with industrial batteries and charging systems. Ability to independently diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs. Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and equipment inspection procedures. Ability to safely use diagnostic tools, meters, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while coordinating with warehouse operations and management. Valid driver's license preferred. Preferred Experience Experience servicing multiple Raymond equipment types, including: Raymond Reach Trucks Raymond Order Pickers Raymond Swing-Reach or Turret Trucks Raymond Electric Pallet Jacks Raymond Walkie Riders Raymond Counterbalanced Electric Forklifts Experience with other manufacturers such as Toyota, Crown, Yale, Hyster, or similar material handling equipment is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work underneath or around warehouse equipment. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to safely work in an active warehouse and material handling environment. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who understands that equipment uptime directly impacts warehouse operations. The right person will be proactive about preventative maintenance, responsive when equipment goes down, and capable of troubleshooting problems through to the actual root cause.Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per weekBenefits:
