About Us Fishetarian Fish Market Inc. is an award-winning, family-owned seafood restaurant located on the bay in Bodega Bay, CA. Founded in 2012 by Shane & Dana Lucas, Fishetarian is a fast-paced, counter-service seafood spot known for our award-winning chowder, fish & chips, and beautiful beachfront dining. We've proudly earned multiple awards for Best Seafood, Best Gluten-Free Menu, and Best Eats on the Coast. We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Janitorial & Maintenance Technician to ensure our facilities stay clean, safe, and operating smoothly. Position Summary The Janitorial & Maintenance Technician is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant, Fish House, grounds, and surrounding areas. This role supports the Owners and General Manager by maintaining a safe, sanitary, and inviting environment for guests and staff. Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain floors in the restaurant, Fish House, kitchen, dining areas, and front of house Clean commercial floor mats and equipment as needed Wash windows, tables, coolers, and fish case Power wash and maintain outdoor areas (BBQ & oyster station) Rake the beach and maintain general outdoor cleanliness Maintain parking lot lighting and perform grounds pick-up Maintain grease trap on property Monitor and clean solar panels Perform light building maintenance Sand and paint outdoor picnic tables as part of seasonal upkeep Coordinate with Hospitality team on restroom & garbage maintenance (including checklists) Perform routine inspections to identify cleaning or maintenance needs Alert management to any major maintenance concerns or safety issues Manage cleaning supply inventory and coordinate ordering with the GM Maintain cleaning schedules and usage logs Ensure all cleaning practices meet health and safety guidelines Collaborate with the facilities team on repairs or maintenance issues Qualifications 1+ year experience in janitorial, custodial, facilities, or commercial cleaning (required) Experience in painting or building maintenance (preferred) Strong attention to detail; proactive and independent worker Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Able to perform physical work (lifting, bending, outdoor maintenance) Good communication skills with ability to take direction from Owners and GM Ability to work weekends/holidays preferred Spanish-speaking ability is a plus What We're Looking For Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Self-motivated with strong work ethic Team player with a positive attitude Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced environment
