Maintenance Engineer
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains hotel by performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools. Replaces air conditioner filters in guests room, kitchen, air handler #1 and air handler #2. Notifies management regarding repair needs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipment. May tend furnace, air - conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, Assist guests with room requests/needs. Tend to pool area (i.e., chemical balancing, cleaning, vacuum, etc.). Tend to guest rooms (i.e., plumbing, toilets, unclog drains, electrical equipment switches including lamps, replacing new light bulbs and outlets and programming televisions). Repair doors, replaces door hinges, thermostats and telephone issues. Public area maintenance (i.e., unclog drains, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Ensure all equipment in good repair with minimum downtime by providing day to day maintenance of the hotel under the direction of Engineering Manager. Continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and associates. Train and instruct other members of the staff by passing along knowledge and skills to assist them in their development and the advancement of your own. Strive to become an independent mechanic with the ability to analyze problems and to formulate plans to complete quickly with a high degree of quality. Be knowledgeable of internal and external safety rules (i.e., Lockout Tagout, JSA's, MSDS, fire alarm system). Prepare routine reports and correspondence. Maintain logs. Ability to speak effectively with staff and guests. Performs any other duties as assigned or requested by the supervisor or manager.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit, stand and walk throughout duration of shift. Lift and push up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects up to 25 pounds. Talking, Hearing, Reaching, Balancing and Stooping.
