Position Purpose The Mechanic repairs, tests, adjusts, and/or installs electronic production equipment, such as industrial controls, transmitters to ensure the equipment is operational for product assembly. Position Duties Preventive Maintenance
- Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.
; repairs or replaces broken parts. Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Equipment Selection
- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Installation
- Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications. Operation and Control
- Controlling operations of equipment or systems. Operation Monitoring
- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Inventory Parts Control
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Operations Analysis
- Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design. Repairing
- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools. Technology Design
- Generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs. Troubleshooting
- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. GPS
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Position Requirements:
Education and Experience High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalency Certificate) required Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience), is preferred Essential Skills and Abilities Electronics
- Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications Mechanical
- Knowledge of machines and power tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Engineering and Technology
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services Mathematics
- Knowledge of basic math. Public Safety and Security
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, handling hazardous materials, and strategies to promote effective local, or state security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions Design
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models Language Skills
