Maintenance Technician Paragon Implant MFG LLC Calabasas, CA Job Details Full-time $24 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Computer operation Troubleshooting schematics High school diploma or GED Mechanical drawings Construction drawing review Computer skills Full Job Description Overview / Job Summary Perform basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards, in addition to logging activities. You will be responsible for following Standard Operating Procedures to install, inspect, repair, and perform preventive measures to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems. This role will assist with miscellaneous facility projects including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, complex repairs, and moving furniture or materials within the facility. Report to and work under moderate supervision. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Identify causes of failures by rapidly performing accurate situational assessments, determine appropriate corrective actions, and promptly implement those corrections to mitigate the effects of system upsets. Perform general maintenance on CNC Swiss machines. Review recommended maintenance procedures to ensure best practices are in place and properly documented. Perform daily inspections of operational areas that may include hazards such as sound, extreme heat or cold, chemicals, high voltage electricity, and/or heavy equipment. Maintain thorough and accurate records of daily activities, equipment status, and operating parameters. Maintain and adhere to Work Plans, Sequence of Operations, SOP's, P&ID's, and process flow diagrams. Keep operational areas highly organized and free of hazards. Other duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma or GED required. Two (2) years of applied technical maintenance experience, or a combination of extensive experience and related certifications.
Experience & Competencies Required:
Review and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical breakdowns. Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards for maintenance programs. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess a high work ethic and self-initiative. Must be detail oriented. Ability to reliably complete tasks that may be repetitive. Ability to interface professionally and effectively with all levels. Proficient in basic computer skills.
Preferred:
Experience in a medical device environment. Physical Requirements / Abilities Ability to climb ladders, stand, or walk on various surfaces for prolonged periods of time. Ability to bend, twist, grab, kneel, reach, and operate equipment frequently and repetitively during work hours. Ability to lift and carry items and/or machinery up to 50 lbs.
